Terms & Conditions


For an entry badge for the Southern Interactive Entertainment and Game Expo and other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of all of which is hereby acknowledged, “Volunteer” does hereby agree as follows:

1. Definitions:

“GGDA” means The Georgia Game Developers Association, Inc.

"GGDA Event" means any event produced and/or promoted by GGDA.

“GGDA Parties” means the GGDA and its members, officers and directors.

"Participant" means an individual that attends a GGDA Event and/or SIEGE Event who may or may not be a volunteer or speaker.

“SIEGE” means the Southern Interactive Entertainment & Games Expo., including associated events, produced and managed by The Georgia Game Developers Association, Inc.

"SIEGE Event" means any event associated with the SIEGE Conference including, but not limited to, the SIEGE Investment Conference, the SIEGE Games for Health and the main conference.

"Speaker" means an individual who is on a panel or provides a presentation at a GGDA Event and/or a SIEGE Event.

"Volunteer" means an individual who provides services for or in connection with a GGDA Event or a SIEGE Event without compensation based on hours of services provided.

2. Identity: All individual Volunteers hereby grant to GGDA the right to use his or her likeness, identity, voice, name and/or image as provided to or obtained by GGDA for use at, or in advertising and promotion of, any GGDA or SIEGE Event for 2013 or any future year, or any educational or other lawful purpose.

3. Intellectual Property: Volunteer agrees that if Volunteer creates any materials that are protected by intellectual property law such as copyrights, in connection with acting as a volunteer for SIEGE, whether such materials are in digital or hard copy form, such intellectual property rights are hereby assigned to GGDA.

4. Exclusion of Liability: Each individual Volunteer will be responsible for his or her own consumption of alcoholic beverages and will not operate any motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. It is the responsibility of anyone who has consumed such beverages to find an alternative ride home or remain at the venue.

5. Removal: GGDA reserves the right to expel from any SIEGE Event(s) any Volunteer that GGDA reasonably believes may threaten or cause a problem for any other Volunteer or any Participant.

6. Status of Volunteers: Volunteer understands and agrees that Volunteer is not an employee or entitled to any salary or other compensation.

7. Miscellaneous: This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the nation of the United States of America and of the State of Georgia excluding its choice of law principles and provisions. Any dispute shall be decided exclusively by state courts for the County of Fulton, State of Georgia and/or United States Courts for the Northern District of Georgia or elsewhere in state or federal courts in Georgia where venue may lie. Proving the execution and contents of this document against a Volunteer may be done by producing any copy of this Agreement signed by that party. This Agreement constitutes and represents the entire agreement of the parties hereto with respect to the subject matter hereof, and all other prior agreements, covenants, promises, and conditions, oral or written, between these parties are incorporated herein or superseded in their entirety by this Agreement. No party hereto has relied upon any other promise, representation or warranty, other than those contained herein, in executing this Agreement.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this Agreement. Anyone accepting agreement on behalf of another party is representing and warranting that they are accepting agreement with authority to do so.
